Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

Checking SSID:

  1. Check the WiFi network you are connecting to. If the network name is not what you expect (for example, it includes “Ubiquiti”), please contact our support team here.

Checking Lights:

  1. Is there a white glow coming from the bottom of the router?

Router Light Indicator

If there is no glow, the router is not receiving power. Check the socket by plugging in a lamp or phone charger. If the socket is working, ensure the power cable is fully plugged into the router.

Identifying Setup (PoE Injector / No PoE Injector)

Do You Have a PoE Injector?

If you have a PoE injector, it should look like this:

PoE Injector

Steps for PoE Injector:

  1. Turn off the PoE injector. Wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
  2. Check that all cables connected to the router and PoE injector are secure.
  3. Ensure the cable from the blue port (labelled WAN 24V PoE OUT) on the router goes to a white surface mount box or goes outside the van.
  4. Ensure the cable from the grey port (labelled 24V PoE IN) goes to the PoE side of the injector.
  5. Check if the PoE injector has a green/blue power indicator. If it’s off, verify that the power socket works (test with a lamp or phone charger). If the socket is fine, ensure the power cable is fully plugged into the PoE injector.

Steps for No PoE Injector:

  1. Switch off the power to the router, wait 30 seconds, and then switch it back on.
  2. Check all cables going into the router, making sure they are all secure.
  3. Check the cable going from the blue port on the back of the router. This should go into the white surface box or go straight to the outside.
